Baby Blogging
What an interesting time that we live in, where I can get from-the-delivery-room blog entries from my aunt about my cousin-to-be.

I arrived in Seattle thirteen weeks ago today, or three months ago this past Sunday. Man, it sure has gone by quickly.
EDIT: Which means that this is now the longest that I’ve ever lived in Seattle.

Happy Birthday to one Dimitri Doncov, who was until recently the oldest man I knew. Some facts about the year when Dimitri was born:
- Jimmy Carter was President of the United States. He would lose his presidency shortly afterwards.
- A major accident at Three Mile Island occurs in response.
- The Soviet Union invades Afghanistan, looking for Dimitri Doncov.
- ESPN begins broadcasting, so that Dimitri will have something to watch.
- Aaliyah, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Norah Jones, and Kate Hudson were born. Sadly, none of them have been able to meet Dimitri Doncov yet and have led unsuccessful, unfulfilling lives. Heath Ledger was also born, but we aren’t going to go there.
- The Pirates win the World Series, and the Steelers win the Super Bowl, both of whom are from Pittsburgh. I’m not sure how Dimitri figures into this, but he must be there somehow.
Just Like Wet Paint
I’m about to share a link with you that I implore you not to click. “Epic and destroying,” the site is a repository for the saddest things that people own and their memories about them. A child’s drawing for an absent father seen twice in fifteen years. The ashes of an unborn child. An advertisement for a scooter with the title “Wife died; used one month.” Your mind starts to numb after a while.
Link.
