*Grumble*
Apparently one can no longer have a matching Bubbles and Mojo-Jojo rubber stamp on one’s desk and still be considered a manly man.
Sabra and Jessica and Dimitri and I watched Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves tonight because I’d never seen it. It was good, but it wasn’t the cinematic masterpiece that my friends had lead me to believe for many years. Some of the editing in that movie was wack (not wiggidy-wack, though… just the normal kind). The fisheye shots were pretty awkward on the TV; I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have to see Alan Rickman’s nose blown up to horrendous proportions and plastered across a movie screen. My props go to Morgan Freeman for being thoroughly believable during the whole film. Oh, and Alan Rickman too, but that pretty much goes without saying. Although I suppose one is also guaranteed an excellent performance whenever Freeman is involved. So, uhh… I’m not sure where I’m going with this. At one time in my life I would have liked to have been a movie pundit, but I can’t seem to bring myself to exert so much time on a subject that I’m finding increasingly trivial. Heck, I even told someone that my favorite movie wasn’t Star Wars anymore. Wowie, right? So… time for bed…

I went over to Joel’s place tonight to watch the game against VA Tech. We lost, sadly, but I had a good time nonetheless. Afterwards, Sean was showing off his newest pair of aviator sunglasses (the things are gargantuan) and it was decided that we should watch Top Gun forthrightly. We’ve all seen it innumerable times, so the best quote of the evening actually came out of Sean during the intro: “I think the best part about living in the 80’s must have been the 80’s music.”
Oh, and I’ve been dabbling with Linux lately, despite my longstanding aversion to it. Granted, I’ve been experimenting with warm, fuzzy, “gateway” distributions like Knoppix, but I can see where this road is leading; my final request will be that if I come back a week from now and start raving about how I really grok the cron scheduling system in httpd that someone will shoot me. Quickly.

I am preparing an Easy Mac feast the likes of which the world has never seen. I seem to have run into a snag, however. I have at my disposal 4 packages of regular or “classic” flavor Easy Mac. I also have 6 packages of Easy Mac Shells!(tm) with Nacho Cheese flavored cheese product sauce. I estimate that I can eat about 4 packages of Easy Mac, or 3 packages and some apple sauce, or 2 packages with applesauce and some cereal. Preparing 2 packages of Easy Mac (according to the instructions) takes 4.5 - 5 minutes, whereas it takes 4 - 4.5 minutes to prepare only 1 package. Assume that I only have 1 clean bowl and 1 microwave at my disposal (not too far from the truth). I’ve never had the Nacho flavor of Easy Mac before, but I’d like to try it. My problem is thusly: Do I make 2 packages of Nacho flavored Easy Mac now, or should I only make 1? If I make one package now and I like it, it’ll take another 4 - 5 minutes to prepare another bowl, delaying my gratification for an additional preparation cycle; however, if I make two packages now and I don’t like it, I’ll have to eat all of that Nacho cheese flavored cheese product sauce, and then wash out my bowl before I can even consider making more Easy Mac. And this isn’t even taking into account the possibility that the flavor of the Nacho cheese flavored cheese product might ruin my potential appetite for apple sauce or cereal. What should I do? This is truly a question for the ages.

After I got out of the shower, I put on some clothes. Next, I borrowed Sabra’s keys and drove to Grace Bible Church. Then, I went to Growth Groups and helped set up some chairs afterwards. Finally, I drove back to campus. I have finished telling you about my evening. Now my intent is to sit down and work on homework for several hours.

It has been called to my attention by a person or persons unknown that my sister is out-blogging me. So I have resolved to begin a campaign of pedestrian and vapid updates that will shed light on the unexceptional minutiae of my day-to-day existence. Therefore, I present to you…
The first update of the rest of my life:
I just got back from badminton. I am about to take a shower. That is all.

Here it is, 2 A.M. and everyone’s asleep. My first class doesn’t start for another 12 hours though… Mayhap I’ll see if any schedule juggling is possible in the morning to alleviate my horrendous TR schedule. I have Dr. Keyser back-to-back for 3 hours every Tuesday and Thursday, which should be fun. The bad thing is that except for four 20-minute breaks, I have class solid from 9:35 ’til 5:10.
Umm… it rained a lot today. It was sprinkling this morning when Sabra and I walked from her car to Grace, then raining heavily on the walk back from Grace to the car, then raining steadily on the walk from her car back to the dorm (but we had a portable roofs with us). It poured later on, causing Hart Java (to which I was actually looking forward) to be cancelled. I had some good stew with Matt and the Hall Staff down in Matt’s apartment. And I finally got the last of my things unpacked and unboxed. Fatigue makes my writing dry. That’s about it, I guess.
